Roscommon is calling you outdoors

We’re delighted to launch our new “Breathe in Roscommon” outdoor recreation campaign — a celebration of the county’s stunning natural beauty and endless opportunities for adventure.

From hiking historic trails like the Miners Way to kayaking on Lough Key or splashing into fun at Baysports, there’s something here for every pace and passion. Families will love the new natural playground and Sculpture Trail at Mote Park, while thrill-seekers can dive into tree-top challenges, high speed water slides, and lake adventures.

Looking for something a little different? Spend time with the animals at Knockvicar Alpacas or Glendeer Pet Farm, take a dip in the clear waters of Lough Errit, Cavetown Lake, or Lough Key, and wind down with a peaceful sauna by the lakeshore. You can also explore the countryside with Mountallen Eco Tours, or hop on your bike and enjoy the views along the Boyle to Lough Key Cycleway.

This season’s highlights include:

Gaelforce Great River Swim – May 17
Rás Tailteann Stage 1 in Boyle – May 21–25
Night and Day Festival at Lough Key – June 27–29
Irish Hot Air Ballooning Championships – Sept 20–26

Roscommon is the place to unwind, explore, and reconnect
